Hello! My name is Olivia Benjamin. I recently graduated magna cum laude from Iowa State University, earning a degree in public relations with minors in political science and event management.

I am originally from Sloan, Iowa, which is about 20 minutes south of Sioux City, Iowa. I went to a very small high school, where I graduated with 52 other students. Adjusting to the size of  Iowa State was not as bad as I thought, but it definitely was an adjustment when I went from less than 20 people in a class to almost 500.

I started off at Iowa State as an agricultural communications major, but as I was taking my first public relations class, I fell in love. I loved the content of the class and the professor was awesome! After about a month at Iowa State, I switched my major to public relations and have completely loved it. Public relations combines all of the things that I love; writing, speaking, critical thinking — basically anything to do with communication.

One fun fact about myself, that many people know, is that I have a love for Coca-Cola! I actually went to the Atlanta World of Coca-Cola and met the Coca-Cola polar bear (Check out my fun photo).
